When to buy
When buying a property to flip, you always want to buy in the
fall, winter, or early spring if at all possible. This will allow you to get the lowest purchase
price. It will also allow you to rehab the property, and put it on the market for sale at the best time of
year: the Spring Market.
You will want to be able to sell in the appropriate time of
year. Spring & summer are when most properties sell and the demand is highest. Everyone is looking at this time of year- individuals, couples, and families with children.
Since school starts in late August/ early September, spring is the
best time to sell.
Where to buy?
Location is key, because there are many different neighborhoods where you can buy properties for investment purposes. Below are a few neighborhoods that are experiencing growth, which would be worth investing in:
- South Loop
- Logan Square
- Avondale
- Albany Park
